Draft — pending legal review. This page describes how Anemalo is designed to work today. It is not final legal wording, has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and sections marked "pending legal drafting" are placeholders, not commitments. Do not treat this as binding until it is replaced with a reviewed version.
Anemalo uses the cookie required to keep you signed in, plus PostHog, a product analytics tool, to understand how the platform is used and to record anonymised session replays (with every input field masked) so we can find and fix real usability problems. If you're signed in, PostHog also associates your activity with your account (your user ID, email and name) so support and bug reports can be traced to a real account. We don't run third-party advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share this data with advertisers.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in between visits and identifies your account to the server. | Strictly necessary — set by our authentication provider (Supabase) |
| ph_* | PostHog's own identifiers — which anonymous or signed-in visitor a given page view, click and session replay belongs to. | Product analytics — set by PostHog |
The sign-in cookie is strictly necessary — it's set without a separate consent banner, consistent with standard cookie law exemptions for essential cookies. You can still block or delete it in your browser settings, but you won't be able to stay signed in if you do.
Pending legal drafting
Whether PostHog's analytics/session-recording cookies require an opt-in consent banner (rather than the current opt-out-via-browser-settings model) depends on the applicable jurisdiction and needs confirmation by a lawyer before this is published as final.
